High Plains (1-1) vs #6 BDS (3-0)

The week four Game-of-the-Week features Class D-1, sixth-ranked BDS against High Plains. The Eagles enter the game 3-0, while High Plains is 1-1 after a 43-30 win over preseason second-ranked Blue Hill last week. BDS beat Blue Hill two weeks ago 30-23. Both teams advanced to the playoffs a season ago.
BDS enters the game after an 82-36 win over Class D-2, No. 6 Giltner last week. The Eagles broke a 36-36 halftime game with a 38-point third quarter that saw back Riley Tegtmeier score four touchdowns in the period. Quarterback Grant Norder ran for 179 yards and threw for 183 while accounting for six touchdowns for BDS.
High Plains’ early schedule is likely the toughest in D-1 based on preseason rankings. They opened with West Point GACC (ranked third) and fell 42-38, while upending Blue Hill last week. Senior quarterback Jabe Wurtz was impressive against the Bobcats last week, rushing for 122 yards on 22 carries and passing for 209 yards on 10-of-13 passing. He also accounted for six touchdowns.
