Back for week seven and a load of the top games in the state are on the Striv Network once again. Some really important games as the calendar turns to October that will have playoff seeding implications. Remember, you can watch on Roku now, give us a download. All rankings from our partners at nebpreps.com.

Class C-2, No. 10 Wilber-Clatonia (3-1) at Centennial (3-3): After an unfortunate two week Covid break, W-C got nipped by new No. 8 Yutan in their start up game last week. Now another challenge looms in the Broncos who are back knocking on the ratings door after an upset of No. 9 Bishop Neumann last Friday.

Class B, No. 7 Plattsmouth (5-1) at No. 6 Waverly (4-2): A perfect “ratings game” matchup as these two teams get it done on the ground. Zane Schawang for the Vikings (743 yards and 12 touchdowns) and   Christian Meneses for the Blue Devils (853 yards and 10 scores).

Class C-1, No. 3 Ashland-Greenwood (6-0) at No. 4 Wahoo (4-1): This one has all the makings of a semifinal Friday. The champion Warriors have rattled off three straight since a week two loss to No. 2 Adams Central. A-G has given up 20 points twice, Wahoo once. If one team gets there, they’ll feel good about their chances.

Class C-2, No. 4 Hartington Cedar Catholic (6-0) at No. 1 Oakland-Craig (6-0): In their state championship run last year, Oakland-Craig escaped — literally — against these Trojans, 28-26. Then outscored the rest of their opponents 123-29. Great respect between these two programs and two teams that could play deep into November.

Class B, No. 8 Aurora (4-2) at No. 1 Hastings (6-0): Maybe Hastings’ biggest challenge to date as the Huskies are playing really good football, winning four in a row after starting the season with a close losses to Class A North Platte and No. 5 Bennington. Maybe two of the best QBs in the class with Jarret Synek for Hastings and Ethan Shaw for Aurora.
