Back for week two and a load of the top games in the state are on the Striv Network. You can watch on Roku now, give us a download.
Class B No. 2 Omaha Skutt (1-0) at No. 1 Waverly (1-0),: Skutt’s winning streak is the longest at 27 games but the last three meetings with the Vikings have been barnburners. Can Waverly get over the top? This could be the top game in the state tonight.
Class A No. 2 Millard South (1-0) vs. No. 4 Elkhorn South (1-0),: Last week Carson Crouch’s field goal with 13 seconds left helped the Storm escape Millard West 30-28. Now, No. 2 Millard South and dynamic quarterback TJ Urban give them another test
Class A No. 1 Omaha Westside (1-0) at No. 8 Kearney (0-1): The Bearcats play their second straight game that won’t count for the NSAA playoffs after losing multiple games to Omaha Public Schools opponents. Last week, a game-winning drive ended for the Bearcats with a Lincoln Southeast interception. This week, it’s No. 1 Westside and playmaker Avante Dickerson
Class C-1 No. 6 Adams Central (1-0) at No. 1 Wahoo (1-0): A pair of 2019 semifinalists that look a little different square off in Hastings. Each will pride themselves on defenses that both pitched shutouts in week one victories.
Class C-2 No. 4 Ord (1-0) at Class C-1 Central City: In a loaded C-2 field this year, the Chants and do-everything quarterback Tommy Stevens are a team in the running. A 71-0 win over Gordon-Rushville didn’t cause many doubts. Now they bump up a class for high-flying Central City which lost time Battle Creek 58-50 in week one.
