TUESDAY | SOFTBALL | Class B, No. 5 Bennington (12-5) at Class B, No. 10 Waverly (9-7): The Badgers are batting .429 as a team and riding the pitching of Daisy Lowther (10-3). Six of seven Waverly losses have been to ranked Class A and B teams.
TUESDAY | VOLLEYBALL | Hitchcock County (4-7) at Class D-2 No. 4 Maywood-Hayes Center (10-0): The Wolves have stormed into the Class D-2 rankings going from unranked to fourth in two weeks. They have yet to lose a set so far this year. Junior Jaycee Widener already has 118 kills
THURSDAY | SOFTBALL | Milford (4-5) at Class B, No. 4 Seward (8-3): After games on Tuesday these two programs with plenty of state tournament experience do battle in Seward.
THURSDAY | VOLLEYBALL | Class a, No. 4 Papillion-LaVista (5-4) at Class A No. 6 Millard West (9-3): Big chance for the balanced Wildcats — five players have over 40 kills — to get a win over the Monarchs led by Creighton recruit Norah Sis.
THURSDAY | VOLLEYBALL | Class B, No. 3 Waverly (7-1) at Class B Northwest (1-3): Northwest didn’t get to play a match until Saturday at the Kearney Invite and now the schedule is non-stop. North Platte and Ogallala in Ogallala on Tuesday and a return trip home to face Nebraska recruit Whitney Lauenstein and Waverly. The Waverly star already has 120 kills on the season
