Class C-1, No. 10 O’Neill (2-0) at Class C-1, No. 7 Boone Central/Newman Grove (2-0): Eagles defense has yet to allow a point, blanking GICC and Ord in the first two weeks, while BC/NG has shown plenty of firepower defeating Pierce 27-21 and Wayne 41-37. Valentine (2-0) at St. Paul (2-0): The Wildcats are an early feel good story in Class C-2 after dropping down from Class C-1 where the St. Paul seniors won just three game in their first three seasons. Class C-2, No. 2 Battle Creek (2-0) at Central City (1-1): The Braves, semifinalists in 2015 are off to an unbeaten start having beaten two state-ranked teams Yutan and Oakland-Craig. BC has thrown just 13 times in two wins with Wyatt Hamer running for 271 yards on 48 attempts. For the Bison, a quick bounce back after an opening week loss to now-No. 8 Centennial.
